Emergency, Transportation, Supervision

All services listed are confidential and exclusive to the Ministry of Children and Families.


Emergency Receiving Home

We contract with 'After Hours' of the M.C.F.D., to provide three beds for children to be placed in our home, in emergency situations, when the daytime M.C.F.D. offices are closed.

The children are placed in our home for a period of time, until it is decided whether they will be returned home, or to a caregiver. The children range in age from babies to teens.


Transportation Services

We provide qualified and reliable drivers to transport children in care, to and from destinations, as requested by Social Workers.

All drivers provide me with current criminal record checks, as well as clean driving abstracts. All vehicles are safe, reliable, equipped with all age safety seats, cellular phones and fully insured for business use.

'Circle of Friends Services' provides transportation for the M.C.F.D. only, therefore is exempt from licensing (as stated in a letter on file dated July 31,2001) by the Motor Carrier Commission. The exemption from licensing applies under section 2(2)(d) of the Motor Carrier Act Regulation (BC Reg 252/94).


Supervision/Escort Services

We provide supervisors for court ordered supervised access visits with children and their families, in the parent's home, 'Circle of Friends Services' home, or on outings.

We also escort children and their families to appointments, airport, etc.
