My name is Ken Lowery. I would like to provide you with a little background information regarding my business, 'Circle of Friends Services' (COFS).

When requested and authorized by Social Workers, we provide Emergency Receiving, Transportation, Supervision and various other services for children in care of the Ministry of Children and Family Development.

'Circle of Friends Services' has been in business since 1999. My wife and I are proud foster parents of our foster daughters who have been part of our family since 1996.

Our home is an Emergency Receiving Home, exclusively to 'After Hours' of the Ministry of Children and Family Development. We provide three beds for children placed in care in emergency situations, after regular office hours.

We provide transportation and supervision for children in care, to and from visits or appointments. It goes without saying, that I have on file, all drivers / supervisors' current criminal record checks and clean driving abstracts. Our drivers / supervisors are selected for their maturity, strengths and compassion when dealing with children in care and their families. All drivers / supervisors are acquired through our circle of friends, not through advertising, so as to ensure they are people we know and trust.

Offices that are presently using our services are 'After Hours' in Vancouver and New Westminster, Resources, Guildford, Aboriginal Family Services, North Surrey and Newton, Community Services, Langley and Delta.
